ANTHONY HOPKINS – $4.9 MILLION, MALIBU
In popular culture, many know Anthony Hopkins from the horror film, The Silence of the Lambs, in which he played the role of Hannibal Lecter. However, this legendary man’s career did not start there. He started on stage with roles in popular plays such as King Lear and M. Butterfly. His yearning to go on screen landed him the role of Hannibal, with which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor.
It doesn’t take an attorney to know that this man is smart with his investments. Hopkins’ Malibu mansion was left untouched by the California wildfires. This 4000-square-foot mansion was built in the 1950s, with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two fireplaces, and a large living room. But unfortunately, because of the rains, the land on which his home stands has become susceptible to erosion. That’s $4.9 million worth of real estate down the drain, if ever!
