PIERRE CARDIN – $355 MILLION, FRANCE
Fashion Designer Pietro Costante Cardin, or better known to the public as Pierre Cardin was born on July 2, 1922. He is famous for his avant-garde style and Space Age designs. In 1950, he founded his fashion house and introduced the “bubble dress” in 1954.
As a Famed fashion designer, Pierre Cardin carried over his eye for design to architecture when, with the help of architect Antti Lovag, he designed and built a mansion named Palais Bulles or Bubble House. His love for geometric shapes and motifs is seen in the design of the 13,000-square-foot property. It was finalized in 1989 and has ten bedrooms, an extensive living room, a 500-seater amphitheater, and three swimming pools. The interesting mansion also features ten interconnected domes over 1200 square meters and makes full use of the Mediterranean. It reportedly costs $300 Million. Bubble Palace has attracted various celebrities who come here to host swanky parties and events over the years.
