Russell Crowe is an actor, director, film producer and musician.He has played many iconic roles throughout the years, including his stint as Javert for the movie adaptation of the French play, Les Miserables. For the role of the Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the epic historical film Gladiator (2000), Crowe won international attention and he won an Academy Award, a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, an Empire Award, and a London Film Critics Circle Award for Best Leading Actor.
Crowe’s home was called Berthong and it sits on Elizabeth Bay and has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Its design is heavily influenced by 19th-century Victorian architecture.The historic Victorian mansion was built in 1886,for it has 131-year history,but it still remains many features,like the mixture of traditional elements and contemporary comforts, which adds the mansion’s character and charm.Crowe reportedly purchased the estate for $9.2 million in 2001 from the Murdoch family and sold the villa for $11.5 million in 2003 and then moved into his Woolloomooloo penthouse.
