CELINE DION
Celine Dion is a Canadian singer. She is known for her powerful, skilled vocals, and is still Canada’s best-selling recording artist, with global record sales exceeding $200 million. She won international recognition by winning the 1982 Yamaha World Pop Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest. In 1990, Dion released her first English album “Unison”, making herself a viable pop singer in North America and other English-speaking countries in the world.
You may not know that Celine is the youngest of 14 children. When she was young, she sang in her parents’ club. With these initial experiences, Céline gained expertise in performing arts. When Dion was 12 years old, she composed a French song and then sent it to a record company which respected manager René Angélil worked for and attracted his attention. Angélil was full of confidence in Céline, so he mortgaged his house to fund her first album.
