BARBARA WALTERS

The renowned broadcast journalist Barbara Walters started her career as a writer and producer of the “women’s segment” on The Today Show. Due to her incredible skills, she was given more airtime. Walters became co-host of the program in 1974 and was credited as the first woman to host a news program in the US. She also became the first female news anchor on ABC Evening News.

Her unstoppable success in the field led her to start a daytime talk show, The View, in 1997. After she retired from The View in 2014, she served as the executive producer. What you might not know is that when someone asked her if the world was ending, who she would like to be with, her answer was to have an interview with Osama bin Laden considering family or friends not optional.
