JOANNE WOODWARD

The award-winning Joanne Woodward rose to prominence for her performance in The Three Faces of Eve for which she garnered an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture. Having a degree in drama from Louisiana State University, she pursued an acting career and appeared in numerous films. Woodward married actor-director Paul Newman and the couple worked together in several films such as Winning and WUSA. Woodward was also instated into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 2003, Woodward became the executive producer for the miniseries, Our Town. Her recent work is her narration for the 2011 film, All the World. What you may not know is that Joanne went to Atlanta to watch the opening of “Gone with the Wind” with her mother at the age of 9. During which, she hopped into Lawrence Olivier’s car and sat on his lap. Later, when the two worked together, Olivier claimed to remember it clearly.
