CARA WILLIAMS

Actress Cara Williams rose to prominence for her performance in the film The Defiant Ones, for which she earned a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress when she played the role of Billy’s mother. Her other lead role was in the TV series Pete and Gladys, where she was again nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy. Later on, Cara retired in the late ’70s with her last TV show, Visions, and her last film, The One Man Jury.

After her retirement from acting, she had investments to work on as an interior designer and it seemed to be the best choice she had made. Now, she is able to enjoy her enormous free time together with her children and family. Cara proved it is never too late to follow your dream as long as you continue to pursue it no matter what happens!
