CARLA BALENDA
Former film and television actress Carla Balenda attended a summer stock theatre in her youth where she enriched her passion for acting. She appeared in a total of 13 films under RKO Pictures and Columbia Pictures. She gained prominence when she portrayed Mickey Roo ney’s love interest in the TV show, The Mickey Rooney Show. Other films and TV series credited to her are Outlaw Women, Perry Mason, Wagon Train, Lassie, The Whip Hand, and The Adventures of Dr. Fu Manchu.
Her last film prior to retirement in 1966, was Seconds, portraying the role of an operating room nurse. Now that Carla is 95 years old, we hope that she invests some of her earnings into some worthy investment. Now that she has a lot of free time all for herself, there is no doubt she is indulging in the things she wants to do with her family. Carla has made life worth living.
