GEORGE CLOONEY—$500 MILLION

Actor, film producer, and immensely successful entrepreneur, George Clooney, who rose to prominence after playing Dr. Doug Ross in the hit medical drama ER, is reportedly worth $500 million. In 2006, he obtained more audiences because of his outstanding acting in the movie Syriana. He played Bob Barnes’s role, and he even won in the Academy Awards as the Best Supporting Actor.

Of course, a lot of that money was from his appearances on television and film, but much of it—and we would say a big chunk of it—was a direct result of Clooney’s enviable business acumen. See, Clooney and a few of his wealthy friends made a significant investment in this tequila company called Casamigos back in 2013. Well, they sold Casamigos for $700 million, plus another $300 million for the next ten years. So, basically, the whole thing was a billion-dollar pay off for Clooney and his buddies.
