BONO—$700 Million

Singer, songwriter, businessman and philanthropist, Paul David Hewson, who many know as “Bono,” the lead singer of the highly successful rock band U2, is reportedly the second richest rock star in the world. (The first, of course, is Sir Paul McCartney.) In any case, is there really any surprise that Bono is worth this much? Well, there shouldn’t be, given his long and illustrious career. He is, after all, one of the most celebrated artists in history, who’s famous for not just his music but also the various charities he’s helped throughout the years.

Indeed, Bono, to his credit, has been called “the face of fusion philanthropy” for his magnificent work in various humanitarian projects the world over. The Irish musician is also a political activist and venture capitalist. He is well known for his social justice causes thru his band and as an individual. Their concerts as a band would sometimes include holding it for the benefit of all his co-founded for his humanitarian campaigns.
