HARVEY WEINSTEIN

Harvey Weinstein was born on March 19, 1952, in Flushing, New York. He is a filmmaker known for “Pulp Fiction”, “Shakespeare in Love” and “New York Gangs”. He is the co-founder of Miramax Films and Weinstein. Since 2005, Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob have served as co-chairs of the film production company The Weinstein Company. Harvey Weinstein won the Oscar for producing “Shakespeare in Love” and won 7 Tony Awards for producing various award-winning plays and musicals.

What you may not know is that Harvey Weinstein is a supporter of LGBT rights. He has publicly supported efforts to pardon gays prosecuted under recent sodomy laws in the UK and US, including a petition that Benedict Cumberbatch also supported. And he is six feet tall and weighed over 300 pounds in recent years. The character Harvey in Steven Soderberg’s Hollywood satire Full Frontal is apparently adapted from Harvey Weinstein and played by Jeff Garin. This character is as overweight as Weinstein and drank a lot of diet coke.
