JOHNNY CRAWFORD

Actor and musician Johnny Crawford came to fame at the young age of 12 when he played the character of Mark McCain in the popular series The Rifleman, for which credited him an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His first television appearance was when he performed as a Mouseketeer on Disney’s The Mickey Mouse Club. He has appeared in several TV series and films and pursued a music career in the 1950s and 1960s.

What you may not know is that he is of Russian, German, English, and Irish descent. He was a member of the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Association) and AJRA (American Youth Rodeo Association) and competed in rodeo competitions across the country in the 1960s and early 1970s. baseball/movie actor Chuck Connors is his acting mentor and close confidant. He highly commended Chuck Connors for his acting skills. His first TV show with Connors was the “Rifleman” series.
