BOB NEWHART

Stand-up comedian Bob Newhart was famous since the ’60s for his deadpan comedy style. His first comedy album, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, was a bestseller that landed number one on the Billboard pop album chart. He subsequently released another album which also became a hit. Due to his success, he was offered shows including The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart. His most recent TV appearance was in The Big Bang Theory. Bob is not only a great actor but a great person, too.

Everyone who knows this guy well knows the fact that he is a loyal man. He’s been married to his wife since 1963. Some of his quotes include, “I’m most proud of the longevity of my marriage, my kids, and my grandchildren. If you don’t have that, you really don’t have very much.” We also owe him credits for saying that laughter gave people distance, allowing them to step back, deal with it, and move on. Aside from show business, Bob also had an investment in establishing Rotijefco Inc. and purchased a radio station. What a wise move in preparing for his retirement!
