Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves

Camila Alves moved from Brazil when she was just 15 years old. She didn’t know that this huge turning point in her life would actually lead her to Matthew McConaughey. In an interview, McConaughey said that their first meeting was love at first sight for him, but Alves said she didn’t know who he was. He was sporting a beard and a hat, so he was not recognizable to her. When he finally proposed to her, he had to convince her a couple of times before she finally got to verbalize the word “yes”. After starting their life together, the two started making investments for their family.

They have three kids together and live in an impressive mansion, of course. At almost 5’11”, McConaughey isn’t that much taller than the stunning 5’9″ Alves, but her heels always make her look a little taller when they’re out on the red carpet.
