Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner

Mary Jean “Lily” Tomlin is an American actress, comedian, writer, singer, and producer. Tomlin started her career as a stand-up comedian and performing various plays on Broadway. In 2013, Lily married her best friend, collaborator, and comedy writer Jane Wagner. Both in their more advanced years, Jane is a bit older than Lily and is also shorter. She only stands at 5’6″ while Jane appears to be a lot taller especially in all of their pictures, side by side.

However, Lily’s height isn’t so far apart from that of her wife’s since she just stands at 5’8″. It turns out that a pair of heels and good posture has something to do with appearing to look taller especially on TV screens and photographs. Whichever way it is, height is a very small concern between these two souls who are clearly in love. All credits to their strength, they were able to marry the people they want to be with, considering that during their time, LGBT marriages weren’t supported yet.
